Let me introduce myself to you. I am Kelli Paulson, clinician, trainer, instructor, problem solver, author, trail course designer, event planner, mother and a cherished daughter of God.


Learning foundation horsemanship from some of the greats changed my life. I went from being a good rider to riding with timing, feel and confidence. I have been able to help 100's of horses and riders, like you, with their struggles. I was given a great gift.

With this gift, I trained and taught horsemanship full time since 2005, while raising my daughters and now, raising my son. Horsemanship has taught all of us many things about confidence, willingness, courage, tenacity and helping others.

Many know me as a Trail Obstacle Enthusiast, teaching clinics and hosting Trail Rider Challenges both in-person and virtually, writing How to Build Simple Trail Obstacles, co-authoring the Working Equitation Handbook, and crating the Trail Obstacle Horsemanship membership.

There is one more piece to the puzzle.

I couldn't have done this without Jesus Christ, God and the Holy Spirit who strengthen me, give me courage and confidence, provide for me, and teach me. There is more to horsemanship than just horses. There is also a God factor. God can teach us so much through horses.

The ties between horses and riders and God and people are evident. Our relationships are similar. God wants us to be trusting, trying, willing, obedient and responsive. He wants us to have faith in Him. It's very similar to what we ask of our horse with trail obstacles. It's the Core of Horsemanship.

Why not just have a horse trainer do this for me?

Because you want to strengthen your relationship with your horse, which can only be done by spending one-on-one time with them.

While many trainers can get a horse to turn, look, and follow them around, we want to make sure you understand the mechanics.

This workshop is about you and for you!

Plus, you can pull out these tools to impress your trainer in your next session.

What will I learn that I can’t find on free sites and YouTube?

You could absolutely use free content and confuse the heck out of yourself and your horse, and then weeks later, still not have it figured out.

Or you can attend this event which will give you step by step instructions plus explain the whys behind what you do.

Plus, this teaches you how to get your horse to Hook-Oon to you and how you can Hook-On to God.


What if I can’t make the class live?

No worries. We’ll record the class and give you access to a members portal to access it anytime.

What if I don’t have a horse?

You will still benefit from this class. You can try this with a friend’s horse (with permission) or you can access the video later when you do have access to a horse.

Even without a horse your relationship with God will benefit.


What if I haven’t felt very close to God lately, in a while, or ever?

God says we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139). We are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13). God loves us so much, He sent Jesus to take away our sins (John 3:16). We are called to lift up and spur on one another in love (Hebrews 10:24).
